Our Medicated Shampoo & Body Wash was developed from the ground up with the delicate skin of a child in mind. 70% of pediatricians utilize an adult OTC antidandruff shampoo to treat seborrheic dermatitis (commonly called cradle cap). Those adult products have harsh ingredients and are loaded with fragrance and dyes and strong preservatives.

Happy Cappy Medicated Shampoo avoids those ingredients commonly seen in adult dandruff products and was also meant to be used on the face and body. Our seborrheic dermatitis shampoo and our daily eczema body wash are made of plant based ingredients and all Happy Cappy products are vegan and cruelty free. After bathing with our gentle cleansers we suggest using our irritant free baby eczema cream.

We speak about pyrithione zinc at length in this article, but here are some key points on the active ingredient Pyrithione Zinc (PZ):

Not easily absorbed through the skin when topically applied
Not easily absorbed through mucous membranes if swallowed.
Data from evaluated studies by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) showed that topically applied PZ has a high safety margin.
With PZ there is no contact sensitization or photosensitization.
