Dr. Eddie Valenzuela is an award winning pediatrician and the founder and CEO of Pediatric Solutions, LLC. Bringing over 10 years of experience as a licensed Doctor of medicine and Pediatrics, he developed a safe and child friendly moisturizing shampoo and body wash that avoids the harsh ingredients present in adult dandruff shampoos. Happy Cappy’s shampoo and body wash products are already winning awards themselves as one of the first medicated moisturizing solutions formulated for kids of all ages. Dr. Eddie continues to actively practice Pediatrics out of Houston, Texas as he manages Happy Cappy.

  • HPS represents over 200 pediatricians and pediatric subspecialists in the greater Houston area, who are continuously seeking educational opportunities, and seeking to promote the health and well-being of children in our area.
  • HPS is administered by the Harris County Medical Society (HCMS) and have been around since 1932. Funding comes from yearly dues, through the generosity of medical vendors and pharmaceutical companies.
  • During my tenure I worked with a large local Children’s Hospital to permanently fund 2-3 meetings per year. During an academic year we have 9-10 meetings with 60-75 attendees per meeting and one of my primary goals as President was to boost membership among recent graduates of residency programs.

Results suggest that vitamin D use is strongly linked to physician recommendations. Efforts to increase physician acceptance of Vitamin D recommendations should lead to more use in infants and increase compliance with AAP guidelines. There is a strong belief, however, by parents that breast milk has all needed nutrition

Provided residents with vocabulary to describe skin lesion. Provided an interactive forum to gain further understanding of phytophotodermatitis and other contact allergens, seborrheic dermatitis, tinea capitis, atopic dermatitis, acanthosis nigricans, “sweaty sock syndrome”, pityriasis alba, vitiligo, nevus achromicus, incontinentia pigmenti and many other rashes.

1/2010 13 year old with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia—Case Conference: CHLA
Beginning with a differential diagnosis of back pain, educated residents and attendings about malignancies in children who initially present with rheumatic complaints. Using photos, and a case presentation, I helped illustrate improvements in survival in patients with ALL, etiology, clinical manifestations, risk stratification, prognosis, treatment options and duration, attendant side effects including tumor lysis syndrome, and potential for relapse in ALL.
